Massage for Athletes

A deep tissue massage is beneficial to provide circulation to the underlying muscle tissue and is most effective for chronic pain sufferers, athletes, and injury recovery. Therapeutic massage uses various techniques to allow manipulation of the deeper layers of tissues such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. Increases the rate of recovery by circulating new tissue growth and increasing range of motion and pliability.

How often you come in for a massage will vary individually. When working to resolve a specific injury, weekly or bi-monthly is strongly suggested until the goal is achieved. Then monthly maintenance is an option. Some clients will prefer to come in more often on weekly or bi-monthly schedule to avoid injury.
